Day1 #90DaysOfDevOps

What is DevOps.?

DevOps, which stands for Development and Operations, is a software development approach that emphasizes collaboration and communication between software developers and IT operations professionals. It involves the use of automated processes and tools to speed up the development, testing, and deployment of software applications. The goal of DevOps is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of software development, while also improving the quality of the software being produced.DevOps emphasizes continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, allowing organizations to quickly respond to changing customer needs and market demands. Overall, DevOps is a cultural and technical shift that helps organizations deliver software faster and with greater reliability.

What is Automation.?

Automation refers to the use of technology to perform tasks or processes with minimal or no human intervention. In other words, it involves the use of machines, software, and other tools to perform repetitive, time-consuming, or complex tasks that would otherwise require human labor.

Automation can be applied in various fields, such as manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, finance, and many others. Examples of automation include robots in manufacturing, self-driving cars in transportation, and software programs that automate accounting or customer service tasks.

The benefits of automation include increased efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and safety, as well as reduced costs and human errors. However, automation can also lead to job displacement and require significant investments in technology and training.

What is scaling.?

Scaling is the process of increasing or decreasing the capacity of the system by changing the number of processes available to service requests. Scaling out a system provides additional capacity while scaling in a system reduces capacity. Scaling is also a critical part of configuring a deployment for high availability.
